Distributing and Monetizing Your Content on Amazon Music

Авторы

As part of Linguana's mission to help creators reach new audiences and unlock new revenue streams, we're expanding our video / podcast distribution to Amazon Music, bringing creator content to one of the world's largest audio and entertainment platforms. This creates another opportunity for creators to reach audiences beyond YouTube, MSN, Spotify and other Linguana partners, while generating incremental revenue from content they have already created. Best of all, Linguana handles the entire distribution and monetization process, with no additional production effort or operational work required from creators.

Amazon Music is investing increasingly in podcasts and video podcasts, creating an additional destination for the video-first content that many creators already produce.

Below is a comprehensive FAQ explaining how the opportunity works and what creators can expect.

1. What is Amazon Music?

Amazon Music is Amazon's global music, podcast and audio entertainment service. It is available through the Amazon Music app as well as across Amazon's wider device ecosystem, including Alexa-enabled devices. The service offers access to more than 100 million songs as well as a large podcast catalogue. Amazon Music is available through multiple tiers, including Amazon Music Free, Amazon Prime and Amazon Music Unlimited.

For creators, the important point is that Amazon Music is much more than a music streaming service. Podcasts have become an increasingly important part of the platform, giving creators another major destination where audiences can discover and consume their content. Amazon provides an overview of the service and its different subscription tiers here.

2. What's the opportunity for creators?

The opportunity is simple: Amazon Music gives your existing content another place to be discovered, consumed and monetized. Instead of relying on audiences to find you on a single platform, Linguana can distribute eligible podcast content across Amazon Music alongside Spotify and other destinations. This is entirely incremental distribution. Your existing YouTube channels, Spotify presence and other distribution remain unchanged. Amazon Music simply becomes another destination where people can discover your content. There is also a broader strategic benefit. Amazon operates one of the world's largest consumer ecosystems, spanning Prime, Alexa, Fire TV, Audible and Amazon Music. Expanding into Amazon Music gives creators a presence within another major global media ecosystem and opens the door to additional discovery opportunities over time.

3. What about video podcasts?

This is where the opportunity is becoming particularly interesting. Amazon Music launched support for video podcasts in the US earlier in 2026 and in September expanded the experience to Canada, the UK, Mexico, Brazil and Japan. Video podcasts are available across Amazon Music subscription tiers on iOS and Android. Viewers can discover video podcasts within the app, download episodes for offline viewing and switch between video and audio while consuming an episode.

Amazon is also expanding the number of podcast hosting providers that can deliver video to the platform. Its latest expansion includes integrations with Megaphone. For Linguana, this is particularly relevant because our podcast distribution infrastructure already uses Megaphone. As Amazon Music's Megaphone integration develops, it creates the potential for more of the video-first creator content we already distribute to Spotify to also reach Amazon Music audiences.

4. How does monetization work?

For Linguana creators, eligible podcast advertising inventory is managed through Megaphone and the Spotify Audience Network. The Spotify Audience Network is an advertising marketplace that allows advertisers to reach listeners across participating podcast content both on and off Spotify, including content from third-party Megaphone publishers. This means that distribution beyond Spotify can create additional advertising inventory and incremental revenue as audiences consume participating content across the wider podcast ecosystem.

Spotify explains that the Audience Network was specifically designed to extend advertising across content consumed both on and off Spotify. You can learn more about how the network works here.

At this stage, we see Amazon Music primarily as an incremental distribution opportunity, rather than expecting it to immediately become a major revenue source. However, both Amazon's investment in podcasts and video podcasts and the broader podcast advertising ecosystem continue to develop, creating the potential for monetization to become increasingly meaningful over time. Any revenue generated through this distribution is shared according to the existing revenue-sharing agreement between the creator and Linguana. There are no additional fees or changes to your current partnership structure.

5. What type of content can be distributed?

Linguana is initially focusing on creators whose content is already suitable for podcast distribution through our existing infrastructure. This includes both original-language and localized content, giving creators the opportunity to reach audiences across multiple languages as well as multiple platforms. As with Spotify, many YouTube formats translate naturally into podcast consumption. Interviews, educational content, documentaries, business and finance, history, science, commentary, storytelling and other long-form formats can all work well in an audio or video podcast environment. Linguana will determine which creators, shows and language versions are most appropriate for Amazon Music based on content format, market opportunity and platform suitability.

‍

6. How does the distribution process work?

As with Linguana's other distribution partnerships, the process is designed to be completely hands-off for creators. For participating creators, Linguana manages the podcast infrastructure and distribution through Megaphone, including the feeds required to make content available across supported podcast destinations. Because many of the creators being considered for Amazon Music are already distributed through Linguana's existing podcast infrastructure, much of the underlying content and distribution setup is already in place via its Megaphone integration, this should allow us to expand distribution without requiring creators to upload or manage content separately for Amazon Music.

‍

7. Will this affect my YouTube or Spotify presence?

Amazon Music distribution is designed to complement your existing presence on YouTube, Spotify and other platforms, not replace it. The goal is simply to get more value from the content you have already created by making it available to audiences wherever they prefer to watch or listen.

‍

8. How are payments and reporting handled?

Linguana manages the distribution and monetization process through our existing podcast infrastructure. Advertising revenue generated through eligible Megaphone inventory is reported through the relevant monetization systems and shared with creators according to their existing Linguana revenue-share agreement. There are no additional fees or upfront costs for participating creators. As with all new distribution channels, we expect performance and monetization to develop over time as audiences grow and the underlying advertising ecosystem expands.

‍

Your Content, Everywhere.

Audiences no longer consume creator content on a single platform. They watch on YouTube and connected TVs. They listen on Spotify and Amazon Music. They discover content across different devices, languages, countries and platforms. For creators, that means the opportunity is increasingly about getting more value from every piece of content you produce by making it available wherever audiences choose to consume it. Expanding to Amazon Music is another step in Linguana's mission to transform creator content into a truly global, multi-language and multi-platform business, unlocking new audiences and new revenue streams without creating additional work for creators. And as always, more platforms are on the way.
